Make New Friends After Retirement
One thing people don't always talk about when they retire is how much their social world can change.
For years, work naturally puts people around us. Then retirement arrives, and making new friends can take a little more effort.
That's another reason community matters so much at Sunset Village.
Pickleball introduces you to one neighbor. Walking the dog introduces you to another. You sit beside someone at a community gathering. Someone invites you onto their boat.
Pretty soon, you're not introducing yourselves anymore. You're making plans.
Some of the people you'll meet in this next chapter may become the people you travel with, golf with, fish with or call when you just need somebody to talk to.
Your closest new friend might be living three lots away. You just haven't met yet.
